The Day center Hara II serves children aged from 2 to 10 years. The main objective of the morning group (ages 2-5) is to prepare them for their enrollment at nursery school, (mainstream or special education), while the afternoon groups (ages 6-10 ) support them while they are attending mainstream or special education school.

Special emphasis is also given on family support and training.

Day center Hara II is housed in a building that was granted by the Municipality of Larissa.

Our main principle is the design of Individualized Therapeutic and Educational Programs, in cooperation with the family, taking into account the particular needs of each child.

The aim is to help them develop skills related to:

ommunication, Daily Life Skills, Socialization, Cognitive Development, School Self-Management, Psychomotor Development, and Occupational Therapy. Hara II offers educational programmes that are designed and implemented by an Interdisciplinary Team, which consists of:

  • Social Worker
  • Child Psychiatrist
  • External Associate - Expert
Day center Hara II adopts a holistic approach model, which is compatible with the most prevalent and research documented therapeutic / educational interventions, TEACCH, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Sensory Integration (S.I.) being the most prevalent. Sherborne, PECS, Intensive Interaction, Floor time, Social Stories are also implemented to accommodate individual needs.
